What is GPAT?

Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) 2019 is an entrance exam conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for those Students who qualiqy minimum eligibility criteria i.e. candidate must be graduate in Bachelor of Pharmacy or should appeared in 4 year B.Pharm. AICTE offers GPAT to get admissions to M.Pharm by qualifying entrance exam.

The official notification of GPAT entrance exam would be announced by AICTE on its official website www.aicte-gpat.in and publish advertise in  all leading newspapers.
To fill Application Form candidates have to visit above mentioned website and submit application form through online transaction or challan mode by paying requisite fee's.


The Admit Card for GPAT examination would be released on the official website two weeks before Examination.
The question paper language of GPAT exam available only in English language. The test is usually conducted as per the guidelines issued by Ministry of Human resources department.



GPAT Syllabus would be based on the pharmacy undergraduate (B.Pharm) curriculum published and revised by the Pharmacy Council of India.
Candidate can download their GPAT Score marks and Merit List from official website. There would be no  special counseling held for GPAT & all candidates got success in exam would required to apply directly for getting admission to that colleges those who accept GPAT score.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Applicant must be a citizen of India. 
  • They must be Bachelor’s degree holders in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry candidates) 
  • Those who are in the final year of B. Pharmacy course are also eligible for appearing in GPAT exam.

PAT exam pattern:
Exam Mode: Online
Question Type: MCQ’s
Exam Duration: 3 hours (180 Minutes)
Number of Questions: 125 questions
Maximum marks: 500
Negative Marking is applicable

· For each correct answer 4 marks will be awarded.
· For each wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted.
The questions that are marked with more than one option would be considered for negative marking.
