Pay Scale: Level 10 (Rs 56100-177500/-) in Pay Matrix as per CCS (R.P) Rules, 2016 (Pre revised pay scale PB-3 Rs.15,600-39,100/ with Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-) Total emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 56,100/- + DA as admissible per month approx.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Govt. servants upto five years as per the instructions

Essential Qualificaiton:
Master's Degree in Chemistry AIC by examination / Biochemistry Pharmacology / Pharmacy Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of
the subjects at Bachelor of Science level from a recognized University
Experience: Three (03) years experience of analytical methods & research in the field of Toxicology in any Central or State Government organization or recognized research institute or Forensic Science Laboratory under the Central or State Government.
Note: Qualifications are relaxable at the prudence of the UPSC in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualificaiton (s):
Experience of working in a Forensic Science Laboratory.
Duty(ies): Crime Scene Management, Crime Case Examination, bestow expert testimony/defacto in the courts of law on subject matter under the
provision of Cr. PC. and Indian Evidence Act / IT Act, R&D activities on Forensic Activities & imparting training in their respective field of forensic specialization to the trainees from different investigating agencies / forensic science labs and other organizations.
Probation: 01 (One) year
Head Quarter: Head Quarter is at New Delhi with Laboratories at Kolkata, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Bhopal, Guwahati and Pune.
